1947年,蔣介石匪軍為了挽回其垂死命運,傾巢出動,大舉進攻我陝甘寧解放區.我軍在毛澤東戰略思想的指導下,為了誘敵深入,集中優勢兵力,消滅敵人有生力量,主動撤離了延安.胡宗南軍隊佔領延安後,興高采烈.不久,他們發現原來這不是什麼勝利,而是擠進了我軍為他們設置的一條死衚衕.這時,敵人除了在正面戰場上節節失利以外,還在他們認為的"後方"延安,也遭到了致命的打擊

　　"American Confederate" follows a group of Confederate cavalry, and a group of Union (Federal) cavalry, from late 1862 until the end of the Civil War in 1865.

Giorgio is a greedy adulterer who makes a deal with a serial killer (Michel Antoine) to dispose of his wealthy wife, Nora. Unfortunately, a thrill-seeking young couple steal the killer's car with Nora's corpse in the trunk, ending up at a run-down seaside villa.

　　1947年初，解放軍華東部隊在蘇北七戰七捷後，進行戰略性轉移，一營高營長（馮喆 飾）率領部隊北撤，在山東桃村集結待命。不少戰士和老鄉都想不通，高營長和女村長趙玉敏（張瑞芳 飾）耐心給大家做工作。此時蔣軍共出動25個師的兵力，企圖造成南北夾擊。我軍在桃村大沙河阻擊南線敵人六晝曰，主力部隊集中到風凰山圍殲北線的國民黨李軍長（陽華 飾）率領的七個師。高營長接到師長（陳戈 飾）命令搶佔摩天嶺高地，以阻擊敵軍張軍長（項堃 飾）率領的增援部隊，李軍長率領的部隊已被我軍全殲並活捉李軍長。高營長又率領部隊乘勝追擊張軍長率領的部隊，趙村長也帶領遊擊隊配合主力部隊，切斷敵人退路，又絞斷敵人企圖炸燬橋樑的炸藥導火線，保住了大橋。一場大戰開始了......
