A young man, Peter, returns to Austria in search of his heritage. Peter reads aloud the incantation that causes Baron Blood to return and continue his murderous tortures.

Covering some of the same ground as 1995's "Outbreak" but updated for scarier times, this new thriller tells the fictional but plausible story of a deadly plague that starts on an Australia-to-California flight and spreads throughout Los Angeles. The cast includes Faye Dunaway, Eric Roberts, French Stewart, Bob Gunton and Vincent Spano, with Tiffani Thiessen as a Centers for Disease Control doctor searching for the cure.
