比利時導演Phillippe Van Leeuw的第二部作品，出生於1950年代的他並不是一位年輕的電影工作者，此前擔任了相當長一段時間攝影師的工作，與杜蒙等人合作密切。影片在2017年柏林電影節全景單元展映，並獲得該單元的觀眾選擇大獎。影片的主題仍舊與黎巴嫩硝煙四起的戰爭有關，但導演並沒有刻畫交戰雙方的正面衝突，而是另闢蹊徑，在密閉空間中觀察時局的殘酷。整個故事在貝魯特一處居民區中展開，攝影機始終沒有離開過女主角Oum Yazan的公寓，在這裡躲避戰爭的一大家子人繼續著他們膽戰心驚的日常生活，而他們做出的每一個決定，都可能關乎生死。 《囚禁》是一部很有想法的作品，節奏、編劇、攝影、表演都相當出色，隱忍、剋制、有力。
