　　故事發生在十九世紀末，胡安（胡裡奧·阿萊曼 Julio Alemán 飾）是莊園主弗朗西斯科的私生子，一場意外奪走了弗朗西斯科的生命，這也就意味著，胡安的存在將永遠的成為一個秘密。為了保護兒子安德烈斯（曼努埃爾·吉爾 Manuel Gil 飾）的安全，弗朗西斯科的妻子索菲亞將安德烈斯送往了法國學習。　　一晃眼多年過去，安德烈斯自法國學成歸來，並且邂逅了名為艾美（安赫麗卡·瑪麗亞 Angélica María 飾）的女孩，安德烈斯並不知道艾美同時也在和胡安保持著曖昧的關係。當胡安得知艾美即將嫁給安德烈斯後，威逼利誘艾美的姐姐莫妮卡嫁給自己，這段混亂的四角關係讓胡安和安德烈斯之間的關係迅速惡化。
