1943年2月，殘酷的斯大林格勒戰役呈現出膠著態勢。在慕尼黑，地下反戰組織白玫瑰的成員們正在加緊印發傳單，其中索菲（Julia Jentsch 飾）與漢斯姐弟兩人為響應不久前女學生們的行動，計劃將傳單散發到大學校園內，兩人冒著極大風險進入學校，在散發完畢時不幸被捕。蓋世太保摩爾負責審訊索菲，姐弟倆按照事先商定的串詞，拒絕承認自己與反戰傳單有關，並幾乎可以無罪釋放，但納粹的搜查發現了新的線索，形勢急轉直下，索菲開始將罪責攬到自己身上以掩護同伴們，經過反覆的交鋒，摩爾開始對這位堅定的女青年產生了些許理解和同情，但等待索菲的，終究是一場封閉的不公平審判…… 本片根據真實故事改編，獲2005年柏林電影節最佳導演獎等多項褒獎。
